LongKeng Ecological Reserve Area is 1.5 kilometers away from E-Luan-Bi. The coastal area is covered by fringing coral reefs and famous for steep slopes and cliffs. The cause of coral reef cliffs is that rising high coral reefs has been eroded by sea waves over a long period of time. Further, the gravity of coral rock itself caused the coral limestone on the fringe to break and collapse. Therefore, it becomes the wonderful landscape like an uncanny workmanship. In addition, there are birds, reptiles and coral coastal plants. This place is one of special and adequate sight areas in KenTing National Park.LongKeng Ecological Reserve Area has a detailed guide system of plants. Along the wooden path, there are instruction boards explaining the name, characters and distribution of plants, including Taiwan camphor tree, Vernonia maritima Merr., sea lettuce, Indiapoon beatyleaf, beach morning-glory, broad-leaved actinidia, silvery messerschmidia, reef pamphis and other coral reef plants. Although those plants have been affected by monsoon, sea salt, waves and heat for months and years, it formed special vegetation instead. Further, there’s no damage by human. The plant features still remain complete.In order to protect the precious coral reef tableland and care about tourist safety, LongKeng Ecological Reserve Area particularly built wooden paths in the way which didn’t damage the ecology and also allows tourists to watch fringing coral reefs, gorges and coral columns in a close distance at the same time.
