Launched in 2007, TTFMT, which is administered by the Taiwan Nongovernmental Hospitals and Clinics Association and supervised by the MOHW, is a platform for integrating resources and encouraging cooperation across governmental organizations, related industries, and medical institutions.
Supported by MOHW, TTFMT has brought 113 qualified hospitals and clinics into an alliance to promote Taiwan’s leading medical services to patients from all over the world. TTFMT’s goals are to:
- Integrate resources to efficiently and effectively promote medical tourism in Taiwan
- Assist member hospitals with overseas connections to international travel agencies, facilitators, and insurance companies
- Familiarize international patients, facilitators, and insurance companies with Taiwan’s healthcare services
- Support international patients with information, an initial assessment from a medical specialist, and medical appointment arrangements.
