Treatment introduction
Men who have been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate often experience dysuria, nocturia, frequent urination, urine incontinence, and urinary retention. Medication is the most common treatment for enlarged prostate. However, when the patient has symptoms such as dribbling, hesitancy, intermittent flow, and urinary retention patient should consider surgical treatment such as Transurethral Resection of the Prostate. Immediate surgical treatment should take place when the enlarged prostate has already affected kidney, and bladder functions such as Hydronephrosis or Trabeculation. Features There will be much less bleeding due to Hemoglobulin being absorbed by the frequency of the laser. This procedure is performed with end-fire laser fibre including thulium, and holmium. Thulium Laser has functions of cutting and vaporization; Holmium Laser has functions of cutting, vaporization, and enucleation (to remove the entire nucleus of the prostate gland). These two types of lasers offer combined performance with lower intraoperative bleeding risk, and shorter hospital stays, making the endoscopic procedures safer than traditional surgical techniques and lessens the probability of reoccurrence.
