Treatment introduction
The prostate gland is just below the bladder in front of the rectum and behind the pubic bone. Almost all prostate cancers are adenocarcinomas. Prostate cancer usually has no symptoms initially. Symptoms often occur when invasion or metastasis of the cancer. The voiding symptoms include urine retention, hematuria or urine incontinence are usually caused by locally invasive prostate cancer. The bones and lymph nodes are common sites of metastasis and it can lead to pain, fatigue, anemia or even pathological fracture. In addition to medical history, physical examination, some tests are needed to make the diagnosis.
