Treatment introduction
A knee replacement implant includes femoral, tibial and patellar implants. The femoral component is made of metal which usually consists of titanium or cobalt-chromium based alloys. The tibial component is a flat metal platform with a polyethylene spacer. The patella component, an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE), is the use of the dome-shaped design and the use of one to three short bolt with bone cement.
