Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital—the 11th hospital under Tzu Chi Medical Foundation was inaugurated on May 8. 2005. With the collective support of Master Cheng Yen and global Tzu Chi volunteers, Tzu Chi built the first quakeproof hospital In Taiwan. The hospital is designed and built to last a thousand years; it marks the new milestone for Tzu Chi medical mission and for humanistic medicine in Taiwan as well. Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital serves as an oasis spirit brimming with tranquility, humanism and harmony in northern Taiwan.
