The Pediatric Oncology Team at MacKay Memorial Hospital, established in 1981, is a multidisciplinary team. We accomplished clinical trial and designed treatment program of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia in Taiwan.

Achievements

The 5-year overall survival rate of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia in MacKay Memorial Hospital was achieved 90.2%, the highest survival rate in Asia, which is comparable to the major treatment center in the worldwide.

Our team had 66 publications in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the recent years, the highest in Asia.

We have trained several pediatric oncologist recent years.

Course: NTD 20000/month

Applicant Qualification

  • Medical doctor license of local country.
  • Three years clinical experience of Pediatric physician

Program Details
Learning Targets

1. Total care of pediatric acute leukemia focus on treatment protocol, infection prophylaxis and detection, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, immunotherapy.

2. Clinical care of pediatric solid tumor, including multidisciplinary combine care.

3. Clinical research of pediatric oncology field.

Learning Skills

1. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

2. Bone marrow aspiration/biopsy, intrathecal chemotherapy
