The Intestinal Transplantation Team, established on July 2005, is a multidisciplinary team. The team mission is to establish intestinal transplantation and other services for patients with intestinal failure. We accomplished animal study, clinical trial, and applied as the first and only small bowel transplantation team in Taiwan.

We had conducted 24 cases of small bowel transplantation and has 60% cumulated 5-year survival, which is comparable to the major center in the United State. The research team also has a lot of discovery and publishes in intestinal stem cells, reperfusion injury and immune tolerance experiment. The whole team demonstrates the high quality of medical services in the medical field.
