Our Diabetic Care Center is the only IDF Center of Excellence in Diabetes Care in Taiwan. We have the first hospital-wide inpatient glycemic control system. enrolled the largest study population, implemented comprehensive electronic monitoring and management systems, had 31% improvement in poor glycemic control and 45% improvement in hypoglycemia, which is top one in Taiwan, and comparable to the major center in the United State.
Our basic researches and publications cover different fields from bench to bedsides such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, obesity, and pro-inflammatory mediators. We also participate in various multi-center, nation-wide, or international clinical researches.
We are also establishing diabetes genome database for hoping to provide more information about the pathogenesis and treatment of diabetes by searching for pathogenic genes for diabetes mellitus.
