Metabolic Medicine offers a variety of surgical procedures to address weight loss and diabetes, including the single-port laparoscopic gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and gastric-banded plication. Other complex procedures are also available to cater to the patients’ individual specific needs such as sleeve gastrectomy with loop duodenojejunal bypass or proximal jejunal bypass.
Dr. Chih-Kun Huang is very involved in research and education. He had trained more than 60 international fellows.
B.M.I Medical Center is a high-volume center, with an estimated 400+ cases of bariatric surgery performed every year, as well as, we are a referral center for many cases with complications. As an established international healthcare center, we integrate clinical, research, and educational functions. Currently, we are conducting a combined research with the psychology and family medicine departments.
