Clinical microscopy training program (containing parasitic shills)

Hospital Name Cardinal Tien Hospital

The hospital was opened in October 1968 and the laboratory was established. Each year services were expanded. Passed the laboratory certification of TAF in October 2006.   Provide high quality of clinical data to assist diagnosis and treatment.

There are 40 senior medical technologists in the laboratory. Every year, 8-12 students of medical technology are trained for clinical practice.

Achievements

The personnel in the department publish medical and related papers or post at academic conferences at home and abroad every year.

Among currently trained medical technologist interns, about 1/4 are foreign students or have one parent who is a foreigner. Currently the trainees live in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Myanmar.

Applicant Qualification

  • Graduated from the Department of Medical technology, or have more than 1 year working experience in a clinical laboratory.
  • Have basic listening and speaking skill in Mandarin and English.

2. Able to report correct data of microscopic examination.

3. Able to interpret reports. 

4. Became familiar with the concept of microscopic examination quality assurance. 

5. Able to detect microscopic examination abnormalities.

Learning Skills

1. Learn the correct method of collection and health education, improve the technique of drawing blood. 

2. Identify the activities of energy of the human parasites. 

3. Have the concept of Microscopic inspection quality assurance.
