In the Display Room of Nanfangao Fishing History at Nan-an Junior High School， traditional fishing gear， techniques and the historical data regarding the exploration of the fishing port along with traditional gear donated by local residents， such as compass， detector， light bulb used to attract squids and net used to catch coral are displayed. Despite most fishing boats currently no longer in use， they witness the evolution of the fishing industry in Nanfangao. Local residents donated model fishing boats produced by themselves to the Display Room of Nanfangao Fishing History. The student-formed swordfish parade is often invited to a variety of celebrations in Nanfangao. It is a role model of school and community combined together.
