Jialishan Trail has the reputation of being the “Mt. Fuji of Taiwan” and the total length of this trail is around 5800 meters. The first-half of the trail has a gentle slope. It not only has the special “pipe road”, there are also a significant number of things to see in its scenery, such as remains of small railway that was used to transport lumber in early days and the crystal clear Fengmei River. The second-half of the trail is the most challenging part. Besides mountain roads scattered with large rocks, there are also up-hills with twisted and coiled old tree roots. However, once you reach the summit and gaze at the blowing mist and beautiful mountainous landscape, the difficulties along the way will all seem worthwhile.
