Located on Daxing Road in Taiping District, Taichung Tung District Art Center is a multifunctional venue for art and music performances, art exhibitions and cultural promotion. To further incorporate education, community and international art and cultural exchanges, more emphasis will be placed on art education and promotion in the future through a variety of events and activities.The tasteful architectural design of Tung District Art Center is based on the concept of Tai Chi and the Middle Way. The entrance is designed as a semicircle. The lobby feels very modern with large floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms serving different purposes in the art center include exhibition room, aesthetic library, family reading room, auditorium, experimental theater, etc.Many art installations can be found outside of the art center. The vast grassland turns into a theater for outdoor showcases on holiday. Visitors can also enjoy some afternoon leisure time here.
