Movies reflect the human experience and imagination. Kaohsiung Film Archives was an old building, which was converted into a modern exhibition space. Located on the banks of the Love River, it maintains a great collection of local movies. The archives keep records of the progress of Taiwanese filmmaking and the history of the Kaohsiung cinema and professionals that have contributed to this industry. The archives even boast an open-air movie theater where people can come and watch movies right on the banks of the river. Archive Exhibits: 1.The Ground Floor exhibits a variety of movie artifacts. 2.The Second Floor has an audio-visual classroom as well as in-house movie viewing rooms. 3.The Third Floor provides regular free movie viewing and encourages movie appreciation.
