Neonatal nursing

We are an intensive care team of neonatal nursing care for premature infants by using the neonatal individualized developmental care and assessment program (NIDCAP), including multiple professional members: physicians, physical therapists, supervisions of infection control, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers and registration nurses.

Achievements

The survival rate of premature infants (GA less than 28 weeks) was about 88.6%, and we had received the honor of Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) Silver prize for premature care in 2015.

More than 50 papers were published about neonatal nursing care, for example: Reduced nosocomial infection rate in a neonatal intensive care unit during a 4-year surveillance period, Journal of the Chinese Medical Association, 80(7), 427-431, in 2017.

  1. There were about 35 persons coming from other foreign hospitals to learn NIDCAP training program during 2013-2018.
