Course content is provided by a multi-disciplinary team from the Department of Radiation Oncology, Chi Mei Medical Center, including subspecialty, radiation oncologists, and medical physicists. Our treatment machines are diversity, including TrueBeam (with HyperArc and RapidArc techniques), and Tomotherapy. Radiation Therapy Clinical School is a complete clinical training program that provides in-depth knowledge for the clinical applications of radiation therapy, especially in SRS/SBRT.

Achievements

We installed the 2nd HyperArc in Asia and delivered more than 30 cases with HyperArc, the most treated cases in Asia.

Our team has published many SCI papers in radiation oncology and cancer biology fields.

We had provided the 2-year radiation oncologist training course for El Salvador.

Applicant Qualification

The qualified Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Medical dosimetrists who have interest in SRS/SBRT treatment.

Program Details
Learning Targets

  1. Brain lesions: including primary benign & malignant tumors, such as meningioma, pituitary adenoma, arteriovenous malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, and multiple brain metastasis
  2. Head & neck cancer: for primary and recurrent treatment
  3. Thoracic lesions: SBRT for primary non-small cell lung cancer or metastatic lung disease
  4. Upper GI lesions: primary and metastatic liver cancer
  5. GU lesions: SBRT for localized prostate cancer
