Pediatric urology has been a pivotal field of interest in our hospital for several years. Professor Stephen Shei Dei Yang, the Deputy Superintendent of Taipei Tzuchi Hospital, makes an endeavor to further the quality urological care of children   and currently serves as the 7th president of APAPU (Asia-Pacific Association of Pediatric Urologists). Peculiarly we put an emphasis on minimally invasive surgeries that limit the size of incisions, diminish associated pain and shorten convalescence.

We have yielded good successful outcomes on hundreds of pediatric surgeries, including hypospadias repair and mini-laparoscopic herniorrhaphy.

There were plenty of papers published focusing on pediatric hernia, hypospadias, voiding dysfunction, UPJ obstruction, and innovative Tzu Chi nomogram as well.

We have trained several fellows from overseas, including Philippines and Malaysia.
