In November 2015, a Chinese tourist had a stroke while visiting southern Taiwan. He was first admitted to Emergency Room at E-Da Hospital, and later transferred to Intensive Care Unit, with the diagnosis of Right Middle Cerebral Artery Infarction. When Patient’s condition had stabilized, Patient and his family expressed their desires to go back home. Upon request, International Patient Center (IPC) coordinated international medical flights to Patient’s hometown: Kunming, China.
Patient has returned to his hometown and continues to receive medical treatments at local facilities. Prior to discharge, Patient’s son wrote a thank-you letter to express his family’s gratitude towards all staff, who had treated, assisted and cared for his father during their stay at E-Da Hospital.
