Taipei Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare
Established in April 1968, Taipei Hospital originated from the merger of Taipei Obstetric Hospital and Taipei Children’s Hospital, forming the Taipei Maternal and Child Care Hospital. Over the years, it has evolved into a comprehensive public medical institution. Today, it operates under the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan and continues to play a key role in the nation’s healthcare system.
Guided by the philosophy of patient-centered care, Taipei Hospital is committed to treating every individual with compassion, dignity, and respect — just like family. We offer a wide range of medical services delivered by a highly skilled and multidisciplinary medical team dedicated to providing high-quality, holistic, and integrated healthcare.
Our medical services cover a broad spectrum of specialties, including internal medicine, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, dentistry, and rehabilitation medicine. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, and provides comprehensive care across preventive health, emergency and critical care, long-term care, and community health services.
To better serve our growing international patient community, we have established a dedicated International Medical Center that offers personalized, end-to-end support — from appointment scheduling and interpretation services to treatment coordination and post-care assistance.
Our team includes professional medical interpreters fluent in Vietnamese, Indonesian, Tagalog, and Japanese, ensuring smooth and accurate communication for patients from diverse linguistic backgrounds. In recognition of our commitment to cultural inclusivity, we are proud to be a certified Muslim-friendly hospital, featuring a musalla (prayer room), ablution (Wudu) facilities, and Muslim-friendly restrooms to accommodate religious needs.
Taipei Hospital has been nationally accredited with an "Excellent" rating under Taiwan’s hospital accreditation system. It has also received multiple recognitions, including the SNQ (Symbol of National Quality) awards and the International Medical Model Award, highlighting our commitment to patient safety, innovation, and healthcare excellence.
