Shenmi Lake is also called Ghost Lake, located at the mountains in Jinyang Village, Nan'ao Township. Take jeeps at Jinyang Tribe, drive along the industrial road, and climb up to the entrance. The driving period is longer than one and half hours. The mountain trail is long, rugged, and primitive. It is a rare exploration for mountain lovers who like excitement. The altitude of the lake is about 1,000 meters. It is one of the close lakes in the high mountain. It is also a precious observation station for wetland succession in a lake. The lake is about 200 meters long and 100 meters wide. More than half of the lake is covered by moss. Visitors see teals swimming across the lake at the entrance. The lake is so clean that the bottom is visible. Various aquatic animals living in the lake, such as crab, spiral shell, loach, and tadpole. There are also rare plants such as thin-leaved potamogetonaceae, Eastern Asia sparganiaceae, and kusano willow. There are also wild animals along the lake, such as squirrel, goat, muntjac, and mountain mouse. The lake is surrounded by primitive broad-leaved forests. Many migratory inhabit here. There are more than 60 species of birds and more than 200 species of butterflies. It is a nice site for bird watching, so it is suitable for sensible trips promoting education and ecological preservation.
