Located at an industrial area and a transportation hub for land, sea and air transportation, KMSH provides high-quality medical service to areas lacking medical resources, such as Siaogang, Wujia, Cianjhen, Cijin, Daliao, Linyuan, and other districts. KMSH is the only local teaching hospital that provides emergency service with the support of medical center, and thus reduces the gap of medical resources between Northern and Southern Kaohsiung. As KMSH is close to the airport, industrial area and Kaohsiung Harbor, it has become an important medical institution providing acute and critical care to local and foreign labor, new inhabitants and indigenous people in Southern Kaohsiung.

Since its establishment, KMSH has always seen itself as a guardian of the health of local communities, and will constantly provide quality-assured medical service to the communities by developing environmental and occupational medicine and reinforcing community-based medical service. With dedication and social contribution, KMSH will take the social responsibility of a professional medical provider by offering community services and creating a good environment with holistic care.

KMSH is very near to Kaohsiung International Airport, it only takes 3 minutes to drive between the two facilities. We took the advantage of the short distance, and formed an outstanding medical team in 2016 to enter and be stationed in the airport. We see ourselves as the guardian angel of the airport, and we do our best to take care of the employees and passengers from around the world. Since Siaogang District has become the aerotropolis of southern Taiwan, KMSH took the responsibility to establish the International Medical Center.
