Hegang Village is located on the slope east of Ruisui Township in Hualien County， between the Fuyuan River and Ruisui's Market Street. In the 1960s， it was internationally famous for its Hegang Black Tea， but due to changes in marketing conditions， its productivity declined. In order to find another marketing outlet， the local farmers started growing pomelos.
