LiuDue Hakka Culture Center is situated in Neipu Township of Pingtung County with total area around 20 acres divided into 9 themed sectors: Performance Hall, Multimedia Exhibition Hall, Jiuxiang Bagong Area, Umbrella Hakka Cluster Architecture Area, Hulling Machines, Wooden Passage, Tobacco Building, Countryside Area and Poolside Stage to demonstrate the form of Hakka gathering via the concept of an eco-museum.The Performance Hall is Pingtung’s best art performance space where over a hundred performances in music, dance and theatrical play were held. In the future, the Performance Hall will continue its role as an art and recreation promoter in assisting the development of Liudui’s Hakka art and culture in the spread of Hakka culture. Multimedia Exhibition Hall is a 2-storey building with 1st floor as Hakka Main Hall which served as a place to introduce various areas as well as display Liudui-exclusive handicrafts while the 120 ping 2nd floor is used as a space for exhibitions with random exhibition themes in serving as the best spot to get to know about Hakka culture.Jiuxiang Bagong is the formal name of the land deity. Ancestors of Liudui used to use stones to set up perimeters around their cultivated lands and would burn incense each morning and night to the land god out of fear and respect. For this reason, the area also includes Jiuxiang Bagong in symbolizing the rooting of Hakka culture within the area as well as in hope for further area developments.In Umbrella Hakka Cluster Architecture Area, umbrella framework and coir rain hat shaped forms are actually Hakka paper umbrellas from Meinong. The opened paper umbrella is a symbol for shading Ahou City while Hakka industries and cultural gatherings are rooted under the protection of the umbrella; in addition, a solar panel is installed on top of the umbrella to provide partial electricity to the Umbrella Hakka Cluster Architecture Area as well as to achieve energy conservation and carbon reduction.The sereni
