The buildings at Youth Activity Center at Ken-Ting are in a special charming style. It is work of the great architect, Dr. Han-Baode. The architecture is of traditional Min-Nan style. The scattered garden, 3-block composite, 3-row compound, 4-row compound, studying section, and Ke-Zhan all have the appearance of relics: furthermore, because the center is right next to the Frog-stone Beach Park, tourists walking along the path can appreciate the ecological beauty of the sea and the sky. They can see the rare beach plants and corals. Even the distant bay and hills come to meet their eyes. The site is vast and it is tranquil. Sojourning in the lanes and facing the old style buildings makes one nostalgic. All the buildings carry the names of Chinese people’s ancient hometowns, such as Long-Si-Tang (house), Ciing-He-Tang, Ziang-Sia-Tang, and Peng-Cheng-Tang, etc. While appreciating the beauty of the buildings, one can also learn where the names come from; at the temple square, the tourists can play refreshing old time childhood games, like spinning a top, walking on stilts, or added to queue; those who feel hungry can go to the Long-Men Ke-Zhan.(Ke-Zhan means “restaurant” in old time). For people who want to have a rest and some food, going to the Ke-Zhan can be an interesting new experience. At the Hengchun peninsula, the weather is like spring all year long. On a fine day, the red-and-white houses contrast the blue sky. Both of them have their own beauty and neither is overwhelming. Furthermore, since the center is close to the beach, the tourists can take a walk along the seaside tourism trail to the sea. The white clean beach, tropical plants, the eroded rocks, or the sunset is each an excellent scene.
