Water raises the development of civilization， as one can see by the many major cities in Taiwan and abroad that used their river culture to turn into booming metropolises. In Xinzhuang， at the intersection of Wugong First Road and Zhonggang West Road， is a drainage area that renovations turned into a new urban bright spot. While not an actual river， it still serves as a park waterway， a boating canal， an ecological flood detention area， an indented harbor， and a viewing area. It has not only solved longstanding flooding problems but also provided local residents with an all new waterfront area， giving Xinzhuang an important piece of water management infrastructure and tourism while serving as an important symbol of modernization. Beside the drainage area is a walking path where visitors can admire creative art installations and aquatic life. When going on an ecological journey to the Zhonggang Main Drainage area， it is also fun to visit Xinzhuang's Youth Park. Its wide variety of trees offers dramatic changes in the park with each passing season.
