Biyuan Park lies on a hillside northeast of Wusha Village. This quiet, afforested place is bursting with Formosan Acacia and Chinaberry trees. It is perhaps the most important botanical park on Beigan. Many of the island's indigenous plants have also found a home here, including the Creeping Fig, the Chinese Wormwood andthe Red Spider Lily. Ferns also abound, with the Davallia mariesii and the Davallia tyermanii Moore being found nowhere else in Taiwan.Repairs done by the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration have improved the paths, viewing pavilions, bridges and other facilities that pepper the park. This has turned this now more accessible, restful destination into a favorite oflocals and tourists alike.
