Shizhuo Trails are located near Shizhuo along the Alishan Highway. Alishan National Scenic Area Administration had extended the original trail and made improvements by adding 5 trails - Mist Trail (originally Shizhuo Trail, 800 meters), Tea Trail (1,030 meters), Cloud Trail (originally Shanlin Trail, 720 meters), Sunset Trail (250 meters) and Sakura Trail (130 meters). These 5 trails, combined with the paths that connect to various industries, make up a total distance of approximately 5 km, with altitude between 1,370 meters – 1,699 meters. It takes about 2 hours to walk the whole distance.These 5 trails each have their unique features, where scenes of mist, cloud, sunset, tea garden, cedar and bamboo forest can be seen. As you walk in the forest, you will be impressed by the neatly kept tea garden and vast mountain view. On the other hand, the ever-changing scenes of misty, cloudy, and sunset scenery are just breathtaking.
