Established in 1966, with more than 700 inpatient beds, St. Martin de Porres Hospital now employs around 1,500 staff members, including more than 135 full-time physicians with 560 nurses and other medical staff. In addition to providing general outpatient, inpatient, and critical care services, St. Martin offers Endoscopic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Cardiovascular Treatment, cardiac Catheterizations, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, as well as home care, hospice, and community health outreach.
The St. Martin De Porres Health Care Network includes emergency and acute/chronic inpatient and outpatient services at the Daya location, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care at the Minchuan location, long-term care at the Nursing Home, 24-hour medical service at both Alishan Regional Medical Clinic and Shen Kuang Clinic.
In 2009, St. Martin established its International Medical Service Center, which welcomes patients worldwide. The center provides comprehensive patient services, including travel planning, medical visa application, medical record transfer, medical referral, admission support, language translation, billing coordination, as well as support before, during, and after hospitalization. In 2012, St. Martin was authorized by the Taiwan Department of Health to be the first qualified hospital in Chiayi City and Yunlin County to offer health evaluations and medical cosmetic services for Chinese visitors.
