Renshan Natural Trail is located in Renshan Botanical Garden, Dongshan Township. The entry is at the old waste yard of Dongshan Township, and the end of Renshan Natural Trail connects to another trail. Renshan Natural Trail surrounds the whole botanical garden, and is under a completely planned trail system. The total distance of the trail is 2.46 km. It takes you around 2 hours. But adding with other connecting trails, the total length will be over 5 km. Visitors can choose which one is more suitable for themselves. The place near the entry was called Camphor Hut for it produced a lot of camphor in the past. Therefore, at the entry, you can see a big camphor bucket as a landmark. Renshan Natural Trail was built along the old tracks. Besides some stairs made of logs, and slab stones, the rest of trail remains its original settings without any artificial manipulation. Renshan Natural Trail is at lower sea level. There are many kinds of trees such as Taiwan Acacia, Formosan Michelia, Camphor Tree, Schefflera Tree, and Mallotus Paniculatu. Under the trees are vigorous grown ferns. Amidst the greenery surrounding, even though there is sunshine, you still feel cool. In addition to plants, the trail is home to a huge number of different animals, too. For example, Formosan Rock-Monkey, Moltrecht's Tree Frog, Taipei Tree Frog, Long-legged Frog, Muller's Barbet, Grey-chinned Minivet, Maroon Oriole, and Black Bulbul. At times, there are colorful butterflies occupying your eyes.
