Hakka Affairs Council, which was reorganized in accordance with the Executive Yuan, has been a new restructuring authority since January 1, 2012. Formerly known as the Hakka Affairs Council, Executive Yuan, established on June 14, 1991, it is the world's only authority that was established as a central level authority to take care of Hakka affairs. Its missions are to revitalize Hakka language and culture and to construct a happy, self-confident, dignified Hakka identity. The goal is to become the world's leading Hakka cultural research and exchange center, and to "Communicate with Hakka, and Make Hakka Villages Prosper," with the vision of “Hakka Glory, Hakka Treasure."
