Museum of Bei Gang Story opened on the March 23rd, 2012. The mission of this establishment is to disseminate Matsu's loving spirit and to preserve the diminishing local cultural inheritance. With the assistance of craftsmen and artists, who introduced a whole new vibe to the structure, as well as the help of many enthusiast, the museum is able to showcase the 's distinguishing long history in the most original form. Allowing folklorist to reminisce and research on the displayed antiques.Museum of Bei Gang Story and Chaotian Temple share the same mission: charity. Both establishments sponsored Wu Jienheng, a Taiwanese student, to travel to various countries across Asia, Africa and South America. During the journey, Wu Jienheng used the Nalakuvara (San Tai Zi) doll, masks of the Eight Generals (Ba Jia Jiang) and other folklore cultures as medium to spread Matsu culture and to begin people-to-people diplomacy. With the aim of expanding our cultural footprint, hopefully Bei Gang Matsu can eventually become internationalized. The museum earnestly provides exhibition, performance and conference spaces for local craftsmen. To present Bei Gang's unique beauty and to reinforce tourists' impression of Bei Gang, the museum especially invited teacher Ceng Liangmei, who specializes in Matsu portraits, as a permanent artists. She uses Beigang Matsu as a theme in her creations to present the extraordinary its culture. Teacher Ceng also designed the gift box of the Beigang Q pastry using Beigang Chaotien Temple as background. It is a wonderful souvenir for friends and family.
