”Beauty Cave?” Is it true that a beauty really once lived here? The whereabouts of the beauty is unknown. It was told that during the Ming Dynasty, a beautiful and talented woman drifted to the Beauty Cave due to shipwreck and lived the rest of her life alone in the Cave. The anecdote complemented the Scenic Spot and the truth is no longer important compared to the allure of the Cave.Situated at the Northeast cape of Little Liuqiu, the Beauty Cave was divided into two by Round-the-Island Road. The Scenic Spot is divided into 13 touring points: Chu-Jing-Tan-Yo (Tortuous Ways), Tian-Wai-Tian (Sky within Sky), Ching-Ren-Ping (Lover’s Flat), Hsien-Ren-Tung (Spirit’s Cavern), Hsien-Ren-Chuan (Spirit’s Spring), Wang-Hai-Ting (Seascape Observation Pavillion), Yijan Garden, Mi-Ren-Chen (Alluring Formation), Yi-Hsien-Tian (Narrow Sky), Jung-Yan-Gu (Banyan Rock Valley), Ning-Jing-Gu (Tranquil Valley), and Bat Cave. The coral reef cliff and strange dark caves can be seen along the winding pedestrian passage with occasional encounters of small animals up in the treetop.
