This is one of the better preserved traditional community structure in Penghu.Over 300 years ago, Han Chinese migrated to this place. This area is surrounded by hills, like petals of a flower circling a core. With excellence natural shields, the early migrants began to settle and build houses in "the core of the flower" and the Shanzaiweiding (foothill) areas. That is why this traditional complex is also called the Flower Mansion. In the Republic Era, this area was collectively named the Zhongshe Village (central tribe) since it is located in the center of four other villages at the four corners of the main Wang-an Island.
