Jhongshe Traditional Residence in Wangan Township The Jhongshe Traditional Residence located in Jhongshe Village, Wangan Township, Penghu, was a complex of over a hundred of traditional southern Fukien buildings' garden houses, showing the prosperity of the time. Jhongshe Traditional Residence was originally named "Flower House" in the middle of the flower house, there is a little hill called "the heart of the flower", meaning at the heart of the flower house. Later on, when Mr. Chiang Ching-Kuo visited the flower house, he renamed the flower house "Jhongshe" Historical Residence, thinking that it was in the middle of Jhongshe Village. The village is filled with ancient houses that have a long history. The special form of village is called sanheyuan(old three-section compound house), and the architecture style is called "one stamp" sanheyuan.
