Luzhugou is located at the northern sided at the estuary of Jiangjun river. There used to have many gutters and canals in early days. Luzhugou was named after the bamboos growing vigorously above those gutters. Luzhugou Fishing Port was one the three most crowded fishing ports of old times and now is declined to serve as the largest port for only plastic rafts in Tainan City.
