A legend says that seven stars fell in Neimen in ancient times, becoming 7 mounds, named after their resemblance to the Big Dipper. The people of Kaohsiung have long since seen them as protectors of the dragon's vein of Zizhu temple. The Temple constructed 4-meter towers atop each of them, which are illuminated at night and gaze up at the distant Big Dipper, and are a sight unique to Neimen.
