Jhongjhou Wharf and Ferry was once the only link capable of carrying vehicles between Cianjhen and Cijin. These days The Cross Harbor Tunnel offers an alternative. The ferry can transport cars， motorcycles and passengers. It provides a different kind of experience than that of the ferries between Gushan and Cijin. The boat charge for car and driver is NT$50， and due to its greater size the ride within the harbor is very steady. Standing on the second deck， the view is quite spectacular. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the Jhongjhou Ferry Terminus. Fresh seafood is often on sale on the wharf. For visitors who are not in a hurry or wish to avoid the Cross Harbor Tunnel during peak traffic hours， taking the Jhongjhou Ferry from the Ferry Station on Cianjhen's Sinsheng Road is another option available to them.
