Protestantism and the Catholicism are the main religions of the Dili villagers, just like other Bunun tribes, and chapels of both religions can be found in the village; the Catholic church was erected in the village more than 50 years ago, and 80% of the villagers between the ages of 30 and 40 were delivered by nuns in the single-story house behind the church making this is an interesting record in Taiwan.Sitting on lush green lawns, the church was built with red bricks and feels simple yet grand. Most visitors will tread lightly around it to show their respect. The vanilla garden near the church is the source of ingredients that locals use for their cuisines and pastries. As taught by the nuns, the locals make vanilla-scented sachets to increase their income. Below the church is a basketball court, and this is the place where most athletic aborigines spend their teenage years.
