This is an awesome sea-eroded cliff, almost 100 meters high, behind Tianwangao. A legend has it that pirates sometimes ravaged the islands during the late Qing Dynasty period, making life difficult for the islanders. One day the pirates invaded Dongyin and killed a local fisherman; his wife fled to this point and, having no escape from the pirates who were bent on rape, threw herself on the rocks below to preserve her chastity. The cliff is named in memory of her sacrifice.
