Muzih Kiln

The Muzih Kiln was built by Ganhe Ceng, a Linwei resident, during the Japanese occupation, for the purpose of producing red bricks. It is about 35 meters long, 17 meters wide, and has a total of 13 eyes. The top of the kiln has six smoke outlets. In the past, or the age of agricultural society, this kind of kiln was man-made and constructed by farming communities. This kiln, painstakingly built by earlier generations, was sadly destroyed in the 921 Earthquake, and all that is left is the kiln top, standing up straight. The kiln was reconstructed and developed into a tourist spot, perfect for family trips. This kiln can be seen when you take the tourist train on the railway next to the green tunnel. Each kiln cave is a unique specialty shop and includes ornament and souvenir shops, coffee shops, recreational halls…etc. Outside the kiln is a leisure park and you can rest, BBQ, and visit the kiln in this excellent recreational spot. If you happen to come to this area, do not forget to check out this kiln.Now, the kiln no longer produces ceramic products and has been transformed into a mall for agricultural specialty products. Tourists can appreciate the effect created by early generations just by looking at it.
