The Jhuoshuei River was formerly known as the Luo River, and the special rocks transported in the river are called Loshi Stone. As the Jhuoshuei River passes through the Ershui township, local residents gathered the stones and discovered that the Loshi Stones are special and unusually hard with abrasion resistance. Thus, they are processed into ink stones, and black and moist ink produced is recommended by scholars and calligraphers and the Luohsi Inkstones are now recognized worldwide.Tung Tso is a frequent winner of domestic craft awards and has hosted a number of popular personal exhibits oversea.
