The Baguashan Scenic Area measures about 33km from north to south and 4 to 10 km from east to west. It has the Dadu River and Jhuoshuei River as its northern and southern boundaries; the Nantou basin and the Changhua plain to the east and the west; and topography that is low in the north and high in the south. The mountain is said to resemble a wax gourd. Ranging in elevation from 20 to 440 meters， it is rich in natural resources， historic sites， and local products. Besides hawk watching and bicycle touring， visitors also enjoy hiking and visiting historic sites and agricultural areas.
