Hakka Museum is situated in Jhutian Township’s Sishi Village of Pingtung County and is a typical Hakka building to encompass the most characteristic Hakka architectural layout “Weilongwu” or “cage house”. Museum interior is divided into themed sectors which include early Hakka cultivation exhibition area, Hakka farm life display area, comprehensive view on Hakka life area, Hakka culture and heritage exhibition area as well as Hakka culture archive, audiovisual room, featured exhibition area and performance area where one can be touched with profound Hakka integrities in loyalty, filial piety, respect for the ancestors and wise men as well as Hakka attributes as a hard-working and thrifty ethnic group with high moralities.Traditional Hakka architectural layout is a demonstration of Hakka’s tendency towards clustered living.
