The temple of Imperial Lord Xuan Wu in Nan Xi is commonly known as the Bei Ji Temple. It is mainly for the enshrinement of Imperial Lord Xuan Wu. In the back hall, gods and goddess such as the Jade Emperor and Songzi Niangniang are enshrined. This is one of the most visited Imperial Lord temples in Nan Xi and Dong Shi. Legend has it that the temple was built during Qing dynasty in the years of Emperor Qian-Long's reign and was named on the instructions of Imperial Lord Xuan Wu himself.
