The shoreline here is shallow and sandy. To the north is an oyster farming area and to the south a hard clam farming area. The harbor's 4-hectare mooring area is large enough to accommodate 350 fishing vessels， most of them small traditional fishing boats and sampans. There is no fish market here， so all the catch is hauled somewhere else to be sold. The beach area of the harbor becomes pretty expansive during low tide， and visitors can find a variety of tidal zone creatures crawling around here. The Hsinchu City Government is trying to position this small fishing harbor as a recreational harbor. A wooden pier has been built to provide a place for visitors to enjoy the spectacular sunset and the cool ocean breeze. This is also a great place for anglers to try their luck at pier fishing. Though not as bustling and exciting as Hsinchu Fishing Harbor， it is still charming in its own way. For those who love tranquility and peace， this is definitely the place to go.
