Shiherliao gained its name because 12 camphor oil refinery plants were located here during the Japanese Colonial Era. Nowadays, Shiherliao is known for tourism. You not only can hike and walk around this place, riding bicycles and dining are also great recreational choices. This trail is around 2000 meters long. Although it has gentle slope, you can still overlook landscapes of the plain at its highest point. Due to tourism development in recent years, the place has been refurbished. The trail is now mainly consisted of stone ladders and pebble paths.
