Zhen Xing Theater was constructed in 1954 when the local movie industry was at its peak. It was always crowded with movie-goers and sidewalk eateries. When television invaded the home, business dwindled and the theater was forced to close down. Later, local merchants and historians renovated it into a cultural center. The projection room on the second floor has been preserved for visitors.
