Beigang Cattle Market is one of the two remaining cattle market in Taiwan. It is situated by Beigang River, to the west of Beigang Bridge. It opens on the 3rd, 6th, and the 9th of every month, from early morning till noon. Trading could reach up to a thousand cattle per day. Although, in recent years, the cattle business seldom exits, the market remains to be a favorite amongst old farmers and tourists in the Yunchia Plain.
