Dasing temple is to worship Baoshengdadi (god of medicine), Ben Wu, a famous doctor of Sung Dynasty. In a folk-tale, an immigrant of Ming Dynasty brought and worshiped a statue of Baoshengdadi in his place. Because of Baoshengdadi's blessing, in 1767, inhabitants funded to establish a temple to place the statue, named Cihjigong (Cihji temple) of Bengang, also called "Baoshengdadi temple" or "Dadaogong temple". While flood destroyed the temple in 1799, five years later, people constructed a new one at today's site. The reconstructed temple was named Dasinggong (Dasing temple) by General Delu Wang, which means to restore their village successfully. Then, the temple was restored twice in 1840 and 1858. However, earthquakes of 1904 and 1906 caused great damages to Dasing temple. Today's temple was restored in 1906.
